Yes! We’d love to show you around! If your dog is dog friendly, they will meet my personal dog, River (6yo Golden Retriever) only. This will allow me to observe your dogs temperament when meeting a new dog. If all goes well and you move forward with booking, your dog will be introduced to more dogs during their stay at Kozy K9

Yes. We prefer that your dog stay on their normal diet, so please bring enough food to last their stay in a moisture proof container with a lid and scooper. Please let us know ahead of time if your food needs to be refrigerated or kept frozen.

We only accept canines. We cannot accept females in heat or intact females over 6 months of age, dogs that have been coughing within the last week, dogs that have open wounds or sutures, dogs who are recovering from surgery, dogs that are positive for a contagious disease or heartworm, dogs who are people aggressive or have loose stool/diarrhea for days leading up to drop off. 

In many cases, a dog is deemed non-compatible when it can’t be in a shared environment with other dogs. This could be a result of fear, aggression, or over dominance (humping, mounting). Dogs who need individual care will be charged extra.

BOARDING- For boarding stays 10 days or longer, a 50% deposit is required at time of booking. For reservations cancelled 5 or more days prior to arrival, we fully refund your deposit. Full payment is calculated and due by pick up. 

DAYCARE- No deposit necessary. Full payment due by pick up. 

We accept cash payments, check or Zelle.

It depends on the service and your dog’s temperament. For DAYCARE, dogs must be 100% dog-friendly and comfortable in a group setting, as social play and energy release are the main focus. For BOARDING, socialization is not the priority. While some boarding dogs may participate in playtime if they’re a good fit, reactive or selective dogs are safely separated in their own corral. My top priority during boarding is providing a safe, clean, and comfortable environment so every dog goes home happy and healthy—not forcing interactions that may cause stress.

We ask that you only bring items that you are comfortable leaving in the kennel with your dog when unsupervised. To prevent resource guarding, we do not allow individual dog toys/chews to be enjoyed during group play. Please keep the toy count to a minimum of 3.

You may bring any comfort items you'd like such as your dogs own dog bed or blankets for their kennel.

Yes! We love to take pictures and videos of all the dogs here at Kozy K9. We are happy to update you daily. Be sure to follow us on social media to also stay connected. You may see your furry friend uploaded on our page!

Kozy K9 is a small boutique style facility housing only 10 dogs at a time. This is to maintain a calm and comfortable experience. If you have upcoming travel dates or need regular daycare, the best move is to reserve early so your dog doesn’t miss out.

For the safety of all dogs in my care, the following behaviors or situations may make my facility not the right fit:

• Fence jumping: Dogs with a history of jumping or climbing fences cannot be accepted.

• Rock eating: My play yard contains pea gravel and other small rocks. While I supervise the dogs closely, I cannot guarantee a dog with a habit of eating rocks won’t ingest them.

• Difficulty settling in their room: Each dog has a private 4 ft x 7 ft room for rest and overnight stays. Dogs must be able to remain comfortable in this space. Extreme anxiety, constant barking, or destructive behavior may not be a good fit for this environment.

• Aggression toward people: All dogs must be friendly and safe for me to handle.

• Dog reactivity: Dogs that are not dog-friendly can still be accommodated, but they will be kept separate from the main group in a smaller corral area.

• Female dogs: I do not accept intact females over 6 months of age or females that are currently in heat.

Kozy K9 requires a copy of each dogs vaccination records.  Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper must be current, while Canine Influenza and flea/tick prevention are highly encouraged. 

Visits are by appointment only. Because I maintain a 10-dog maximum, I’m often unable to accommodate last-minute requests. All daycare and boarding visits must be scheduled in advance.

Arrival times are spaced at least 10 minutes apart. My driveway is narrow, and this helps prevent congestion when clients arrive or leave.

Many dogs also have fence reactivity, so I prepare the group before a new dog arrives. Please let me know if you expect to be more than 5 minutes early or late from your scheduled arrival time.

Yes —discounts are offered for additional dogs in the same household.  Daycare offers $5 off each additional dog and boarding offers $10 off each additional dog. 

Kozy K9 will administer medications free of charge as long as your dog is otherwise fit to stay. If a dog is sick or injured prior to arriving, Kozy K9 may turn them away depending on severity, but we understand many dogs take medication for non-illness reasons and can accommodate that. 

Yes. Kozy K9 provides 24/7 supervision and security, which means your dog is not left unattended. All dogs are physically monitored when out of their rooms for play time. There are cameras inside the facility to ensure continued supervision when dogs are resting in their doggie suites. Your pup gets consistent oversight, structure, and a safe environment for rest and play.
